Graduate Programme

We’re committed to supporting you throughout our two-year graduate programme, where you’ll quickly become a valued member of the team.

You’ll follow a structured, varied training programme, giving you broad exposure and ensuring no two days are the same. This experience will help you understand the different career paths available as you progress.

Many graduates move into client-facing roles, some progress into management, while others choose to specialise in their technical expertise. Whatever direction you take, you’ll be supported and empowered to achieve your ambitions.

What graduate opportunities are available?

We offer graduate opportunities in areas such as actuarial, credit risk advisory and investment consultancy. All graduate roles are supported by our Graduate Development Programme, giving you the structure and support to build a strong and sustainable career. You’ll join the business in a real role from day one, gaining practical experience alongside professional study.

What is included within the graduate programme?

Apprenticeship Programme

Our apprenticeship programme provides a practical, structured route into a career at Broadstone, combining hands-on experience with recognised professional qualifications. It’s designed for those who want to earn, learn and build capability from day one.

What apprentice opportunities are available?

We offer apprenticeships for both Pensions Administrators and Actuarial Technicians. Apprentices join the business in permanent roles, designed to build long-term capability and can provide a pathway into further professional study or future progression within the business.

What do we look for in apprentices?

We look for candidates who are committed to their personal and professional development, communicate clearly and take pride in their work. A numerate or analytical foundation is important for many roles, alongside a willingness to learn and develop new skills.

What's included in the apprenticeship programme?

Our programme combines real work with structured learning. As an apprentice, you’ll be a paid permanent employee who is given time and support to complete your apprenticeship qualification. On the job training coupled with guidance from experienced colleagues will help you build confidence and develop your skills.

Internship Programme

Our internship programme offers a hands-on introduction to working at Broadstone. It’s designed to give students meaningful experience in a professional services environment, helping you build confidence, capability and insight into a potential future career.

What internship opportunities are available?

We are looking for students who demonstrate the potential and commitment to joining us once they have successfully completed their study. This means that interns are expected to be on track for at least a 2:1 in a numerate degree.

Our interns are good communicators with a strong analytical background. They are keen to learn and have the ability to work collaboratively.

What do we look for in an intern?

Our interns are people who are numerate and good communicators. They would also like to work for a company who remains committed to supporting them with their career development.

What will happen during the internship?

Our internship will provide you with insight into the type of work we undertake as a team, working with a graduate buddy to guide you through your experience.

Alongside our other interns, you will take part in commercial skills sessions which culminate in a business improvement project, presenting your recommendations to senior management at the end of your time with us.

Our Application Process

For both experienced and early careers vacancies, Broadstone’s application process is designed with a people-first approach. From the point of application, every stage is reviewed or conducted by a human to ensure we allow you the maximum opportunity to showcase your skills and experience to us. During the process, you may go through the following stages:

STEP 1

Application

You will submit your CV and personal details, along with a supporting statement that provides us with more detail about you. This will be reviewed by a member of our team as part of our initial sift.

STEP 2

Screening Call

You will join a member of our HR team for a short call designed to give us a brief overview of your skills, experience and motivations relevant to your chosen career.

STEP 3

Assessment Centre

You will attend one of our offices to complete a variety of activities aimed at gaining a full picture of your skills. You will be joined by a co-ordinator from our HR team, as well as assessors from the hiring team.

STEP 4

Joining Broadstone!

If you are made an offer, we will provide you with all employment information and will support you with completing our onboarding process.

We have a comprehensive study policy which will support you with qualifications that are relevant to your position. While the way that we support will vary by qualification, we will always do our best to set you up for success.

We post individual vacancies for each position in different offices, so the vacancy you’re looking for may go live at any point from Autumn (October/November) until Spring (April/May). We may also occasionally post vacancies outside of this period.
